Firefighters called to campsite at The Great Lines Heritage Park, Gillingham adjacent to Medway Maritime Hospital

Firefighters were called to the Great Lines this afternoon after a fire broke out in a campsite.

A crew from Medway station attended the fire in an area of the Gillingham park know as 'the paddock', which is adjacent to Medway Maritime Hospital.

A KFRS spokesman said the fire was in a wooded area which appeared to be a camping site.
