Fire crews put out flames at a business in Pier Road, Gillingham

Fire crews put out a blaze at a business' store room.

The crews were called at 7.45am to the fire in Pier Road, Gillingham.

Using breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet crews extinguished the fire and left the scene by 8.30am.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a small fire in the store room of a business on Pier Road in Gillingham.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene and the firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to quickly extinguish the fire.

The store room was then cleared of smoke using a large fan.

There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
