Three sheds and skip on fire in Magpie Hall Road area, Chatham

Firefighters tackled a series of blazes overnight, which are thought to have been started on purpose.

Crews were called to the Magpie Hall Road area in Chatham at 11.30pm to tackle three shed fires and a skip which had been set alight.

Teams in three fire engines tackled the blazes which had all been started individually.

One of the blazes spread to a neighbouring shed.

Crews left the scene at around 12.30am.

A police spokesman, said: "Police were called to Symons Avenue, Chatham at 11.41pm on Sunday, November 8, following a report of a fire.

"There were five fires in total reported, four to the allotments and one to a skip. The incident is being treated as arson."
