Firefighters called to rubbish fire in Sundridge Hill, Cuxton

Firefighters spent two hours tackling a rubbish blaze in Cuxton last night.

Two fire engines were sent to Sundridge Hill at 6.50pm after a large pile of rubbish, believed to have been flytipped, caught alight.

Crews used a water relay to soak the pile, and the undergrowth around it, to prevent the area from catching fire again.

Firefighters have been called to deal with the car fire.
