Former footballer Dennis Wise has been spotted at Chatham Town's game against Sheppey United today.

The sporting legend was seen by Tracey Crouch MP for Chatham and Aylesford at the ground in Bournville Avenue, Chatham.

Miss Crouch, who was showing her support for the club, commented: "Slightly randomly Dennis Wise is here at Chatham Town FC #UpTheChats."

The former England and Chelsea mid-fielder was seen smiling alongside the surprised MP.

Dennis Wise was at the ground as the technical director for the Indonesia Garuda Select under 17s squad who will be playing a Gillingham youth team tomorrow and were seen having a practice on the field after the match.

Chatham Town won the top-of-the-table clash 2-0 in front of a record crowd, with Dan Bradshaw scoring both goals against his former club.
