Buzz Bingo at Medway Valley Leisure Park evacuated in fire scare

About 200 people were evacuated from a bingo hall after a fire scare.

Punters at Buzz Bingo at the Medway Valley Leisure Park must have felt all their unlucky-for-some 13 balls had been drawn at once when they were told to leave the building.

Three fire engines were called to the scene but it turned out to be a false alarm.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service says it was called to the scene at Chariot Way, Strood, at at 8.48pm last night.

It is understood the smoke from elsewhere had been sucked into the air conditioning, prompting the fire alarm.
