An investigation is under way after a man was found dead in Chatham.

Police say they were called to an area near Chalkpit Hill at around 11am today after the man's body was discovered.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

Officers are also carrying out inquiries to locate the man’s next of kin.
