Desserts parlour Kaspa's is set to open a new branch at a popular outlet.
The new venue will create nine jobs at Chatham Dockside, and will be located close to competitor Creams Café.
Jade Stanley, from Goldex Investments Group, said the opening of the new branch will aid the growth of the dessert business in the area.
She said: "Similar to having multiple coffee businesses in a single location, having a Creams and a Kaspa's Desserts will only help to further grow the profile of the dessert industry.
"We are excited about the opening in Chatham Dockside and think it will be great not only for the local area, but also the shopping centre and the customers."
The grand opening will take place on Saturday (December 17), featuring a DJ set and face painting activities.
Customers attending between 1pm and 5pm will be treated to a "pay what you want" over £1 offer for any classic waffles or cookie doughs.
All money raised during this time will be donated to Medway Street Angels, a charity which supports the homeless community by distributing clothing, toiletries, camping equipment and essential food supplies.
The store - which is located next to a new Costa and will replace the former Friendly Phil's unit - has created the new jobs in positions ranging from team members to store managers.
It features a modern and colourful design, with golden walls and neon lights.
Rex Ola, head of office operations, said: "We are so excited to be opening our new Kaspa’s Desserts in Chatham Dockside and cannot wait for our customers to see our newly designed store.
"We hope the local community can enjoy our grand opening on Saturday."
