A variety of good causes are battling it out to become this newspaper’s Charity of the Year.
Organisations and groups of all sizes are bidding to take the 2010 title and there is just a week left to apply.
To be in with a chance you need to make your application through this website by October 14.
The successful cause or charity will receive the full backing of the Medway Messenger and kmfm highlighting its work and any special fund-raising projects it undertakes during the year.
The KM Charity Team also aims to stage one or more fund-raising events to support the selected cause.
Causes applying will be notified in November if their application has been successful and the charity of the year period will run from the first week of January.
The KM Charity Team is hoping for active charitable partners who will make the most of the opportunity being named as Charity of the Year will present.
Currently editors are open to all suggestions and ideas but the key issue is location. The project you wish to be supported must be within the circulation area of the KM Group newspaper you are applying for support.
It is not essential to be a registered charity to apply and any local good cause or project can be considered.
