Southeastern trains from London Charing Cross and London Victoria into Kent replaced by buses due to engineering works

The last trains home to Kent from London are to be replaced by buses this week due to engineering work.

Tonight and on Wednesday and Thursday, trains leaving London Charing Cross after 11pm will terminate at Strood with a replacement bus taking passengers to Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, Rainham, Newington, Sittingbourne and Faversham.

The high speed service from St Pancras at 11.55pm will also be replaced by buses from Ebbsfleet International, stopping at Gravesend, Strood, Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham.

There will be a train from Gillingham to Ramsgate at 1.34am.

On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday the 12.39am London Charing Cross to Gillingham will stop at Strood with replacement onward buses.

The 4.02am train heading into Charing Cross on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will start from Strood at 4.14am.

The replacement bus will pick up passengers in Gillingham at 3.39am, Chatham at 3.50am and Rochester at 3.57am.

Engineering works are also planned between Sole Street and Rochester with buses replacing trains between Meopham and Rochester.

The 11:34pm London Victoria to Gillingham (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) will stop at Sole Street, but passengers should change at Meopham to get the bus.

The 12:07am London Victoria to Ramsgate (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) will stop at Meopham with a bus taking passengers to their final destinations. It will terminate in Ramsgate at 2.44am.

This train service is revised to terminate at Meopham at 00:43.

The 12:37am London Victoria to Gillingham (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) will terminate at Meopham with a bus departing fro Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham at 1.29am.
