Motorists were facing delays on the M2 coastbound carriageway at Gillingham after lorry sheds its load of plant pots.

Police have been called to the M2 coastbound carriageway near Gillingham after reports of debris in the road after a single vehicle crash.

They were called near Junction 4, at 2.10pm, after the road became partially blocked when a lorry carrying its load crashed near Medway Services.

Officers have now left the scene and say the road is now clear and there are no reports of any serious injuries.

The debris is thought to be a shed load of plant pots.
