Love is in the air in Medway today as six couples celebrate Valentine's Day by getting married.
Among them will be 29-year-old Paul Woodger and Corina Pepper, 26.
The couple are getting hitched at 2pm at Cooling Castle Barn, Cooling.
Graphic designer Paul proposed to Corina just over a year after the couple met while out clubbing in May 2009.
Corina, who is a school teacher, said: "We were planning to get married in April or the summer because of school holidays.
"When we decided Cooling Castle Barn was the venue we wanted, they didn't have any weekends left so we chose Valentine's Day because it's in half term.
"We're keeping it simple, but there will be lots of hearts everywhere."
She added: "Paul was a bit nervous about it before, but now he's getting excited as it's getting nearer and we're waiting for all our guests to arrive. We're both really excited."
Five other couples will also tie the knot at ceremonies to be held at the register office in Rochester throughout the day.
James Brown, superintendent registrar for Medway, said: "Valentine's Day is traditionally a very busy day for us, we are definitely busier than usual.
"Up until December we only had one booking for Valentine's Day but people must have got all romantic over Christmas and all of a sudden we got lots of bookings."
Youngters at Woodlands Children's Centre in Gillingham will be celebrating the day of love with red-themed activities. They will be wearing red, icing cookies and playing with red dough.
Shoppers at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Gillingham should look out for a giant walkabout love heart. The cuddly character will be roaming the malls all day.
