Motorcyclist died in crash on M2 near Rochester Airport

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on the M2.

Part of the motorway was closed for much of the day following the collision which happened shortly before 11am.

The coastbound carriageway was shut between junctions one and three near Rochester Airport but has now reopened.

Paramedics, fire crews, the air ambulance and Kent Police attended but the man in his 60s died at the scene.

He was riding a silver KTM 990 Supermoto T motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information and asking motorists to check for dashcam footage that may help them with their investigation.
