A 61-year-old man has been flown to hospital after falling out of a tree.

Kent Air Ambulance crews were called to the accident yesterday at 3pm in the village of Cliffe Woods, near Rochester.

It is reported the man had injured his torso, his hand and lower arm.

It is also believed he suffered back injuries after hitting railings as he fell.

The drama took place in a private road in the village. An ambulance service spokesman did not reveal where.

The air ambulance landed on a recreation ground and took the man to King's College Hospital, in London, where he arrived an hour after the incident.

His current condition is not known.
