Man arrested after arson attack on Tiger Moth pub in Chatham

A man has been arrested following a suspected arson attack on a pub in Chatham.

Police were called at around 11.25pm on Thursday to a report of a fire at the Tiger Moth in Highview Drive.

No injuries were reported but damage was caused to the entrance and interior of the pub.

The following evening officers attended an address in Chatham and arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of committing arson with intent to endanger life.

He remains in custody as enquiries into the incident continue.
