Drivers faced delays of up to 20 minutes on the M2 coastbound carriageway at Gillingham this morning after a two-car collision.

Both vehicles overturned in the accident which happened at junction 4 near the A278 slip road at about 8.45am.

One lane and the slip road has been closed while the cars are recovered.

One of the drivers was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Both were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, but neither has serious injuries.

A police spokesman said the motorway has now been fully reopened.
