A man has been charged in connection with a suspected rogue trader incident.
Billy Clark, 23, of Wakelin Road, Stratford, east London, was arrested at a property in Luton on Tuesday, August 1.
He was charged with possession of a false Trading Standards identity card for use in the course of a fraud, following an investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate’s Volume Fraud Team.
Police were called to Luton after concerns were raised for an elderly resident who had made several large cash withdrawals to pay for repairs to his roof.
Clark has been bailed to appear before Medway magistrates on Wednesday, September 27.
