Man charged following Admiral Casino robbery in Gillingham

A man has appeared in court charged with six offences following a robbery at an amusement centre.

Florjan Lleshi was arrested on suspicion of stealing £1,000 from Admiral Casino, Gillingham, and making threats with a knife.

It was claimed a member of staff had been held at knifepoint.

He was arrested on Tuesday following the incident on Sunday morning and has now been charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

The 28-year-old, of Ager Avenue, Dagenham, was also charged with two robberies, and two counts of possessing a knife following offences committed in Romford and Welling last July.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on March 18.
