A man has miraculously escaped with a minor head injury after a head-on smash in Chatham this evening.

Two cars were severely damaged in the crash, which happened by Haywards car sales on Luton Road.

Twitter account @KentSpecials posted the photo of the aftermath and claimed one driver had been speeding on the stretch.

They said: "1 very lucky male that has only come away with a minor head injury - however this is what happens when you go even 10mph over the speed limit - is it worth it?"

Kent Police have been approached for more details.
