Three arrested after stabbing in Hilda Road, Chatham

A man has been found stabbed in an alleyway.

Three people have been arrested following the attack in the Hilda Road area of Chatham.

Police say the incident happened mainly in Hilda Road but officers are conducting inquiries around the surrounding areas.

A woman in her 40s who lives in nearby Hartington Street but didn't want to be named said: "From Hilda Road all the way down to the bridge at Otway Terrace was taped off by the police.

"There were officers all over the place and then I heard the stabbing had happened in an alleyway off Hilda Road."

The victim, who is in his 40s was taken to hospital for treatment for a leg injury, following the incident in Hilda Road at about 4pm yesterday.

A 36-year-old man from Gillingham, a 69-year-old man and 30 year-old woman both from Chatham, were arrested on suspicion of assault.

They were in custody but have since been released, pending further inquiries.

Police and paramedics attended. The victims injuries are not believed to be serious.
