Man taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash in Chatham

A man has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Chatham this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Street End Road at 2pm after the smash between two cars and a light good vehicle.

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said a man, believed to be in his 30s, became trapped in his Peugeot car.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the man, who had suspected neck and back injuries.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, in Gillingham, by ambulance.
