Two men arrested as police stop 'suspicious vehicle' in New Road, Chatham

Two men have been arrested and two large parcels containing suspected Class A drugs have been seized in Chatham.

Officers stopped a "suspicious vehicle" in the New Road area at around 10pm last night.

They subsequently seized two large parcels containing a substance believed to be Class A drugs.

The men, a 33-year-old from Rochester and an 18-year-old from Northolt in Middlesex, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

Both were taken into custody while officers from the Medway Criminal Investigation Department continued their inquiries.

The pair were later bailed until Saturday, December 30.
