"The patrols arrested one of the riders after they hit a parked car in Castlemaine Avenue.

"A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance."

He was released on bail until March 23.

The arrest was part of a police operation to target those who are committing offences on mopeds or stealing them.
