Four car collision in Dock Road, Chatham, causing delays

Drivers are facing delays after a collision between four cars has partially closed a road.

Emergency services were called to Dock Road, Chatham, at 1.45pm to the incident and remain at the scene.

It has affected traffic near The Brook which is moving slow around Whiffens Avenue.

No serious injuries have been reported, but one witness claims two cars crossed the central reservation before hitting another.

John Charles Ford said: "Avoid Dock Road out of Chatham towards the tunnel. Very nasty accident. Two cars have crossed the central barrier and hit a car head on. Police are on site. Traffic is passing slowly in the bus stop."

Mr Ford also added the coastguard were the first to arrive at the collision.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers are currently in attendance. No serious injuries have been reported."
