A piece of naval history connected to the Medway Towns will go on display to the public after it was handed over by the Royal Navy.
Two funnel badges from HMS Chatham were presented to Medway Council and the Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust last week.
The items, oversized versions of the ship's badge, survived when the Type 22 frigate was decomissioned and broken up in 2011.
They will now be displayed alongside two of the ship's bells, a painting of the warship and flags she flew while serving in the fleet for 21 years.
The badges can be viewed at St George's Centre in Pembroke Road, Chatham Maritime on Tuesdays between 10am and 4pm.
Cdre Rob Bellfield CBE ADC RN, who served twice on HMS Chatham, handed over the badges to council leader Alan Jarrett.
He said: "It’s important that we continue to keep the link between this historic maritime town and the Royal Navy going now and into the future.”
