They went into her back garden and smashed her door open with a large rock, before carrying her to safety.

Her next door neighbours had been woken up by their fire alarms and got themselves and one of their Yorkshire terriers to safety.

Fire crews rescued their other dog.

Sarah said: "I didn't hear my smoke alarms, I poked my head out the window and it was a bit hot.

"I have to find somewhere else to live as I can't stay there.

"I owe my life to two women and a man called Jason."

Crews tackled the blaze until 2.45am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
