Medway Food and Drink Festival launches in Rochester Castle Gardens in September

A new three-day food festival, aimed at all the family, is being added to one town's list of attractions and there's cut-price tickets available now.

Rochester will host the Medway Food and Drink Festival next month, with "the best of local, national and international food and drink".

There will be a variety of stalls with not just food but also jewellery, homeware and handmade crafts.

There will be also be child-friendly entertainment during the daytime, including a magician, music and games.

As well as this, events tailored just for adults are on the evening line-up, including live music and comedy.

The festival will be held at Rochester Castle Gardens from September 16-18.

Medway portfolio holder for housing and community services Cllr Howard Doe said: "I am delighted that we will be hosting a food and drinks festival for the first time, for Medway’s residents and visitors to explore and enjoy local, national and international cuisine, at a family-friendly event.

"It is so important that we continue to support local businesses following the pandemic and I look forward to seeing the castle gardens come to life once again with music and entertainment later this summer."
Tickets start from £5 for adults on the Friday and £7.50 on the Saturday, with concessions available.
