The incident at the stadium in Redfern Avenue, is being investigated by police who have been reviewing CCTV footage.

So far eight people have been arrested, all on suspicion of public order offences including violent disorder.

They are all aged between 21 and 27 and include three men from Faversham, and five others from Gillingham, Rochester, Tonbridge, Maidstone and Sheppey.

Detectives have now released photos of seven other people they wish to speak to as part of their inquiries.

Rivals fans clashed in the middle of the Priestfield pitch at the full-time whistle as supporters from both teams ran onto the field.

Play had already been briefly stopped as Rotherham United supporters entered the field and flares were set off, landing on the pitch.

More than 2,000 Rotherham fans were at the game.

Inquiries are also ongoing into alleged offences committed by supporters believed to be from outside Kent who entered the field of play from within the away section.

The League 1 match ended with a 2-0 win for The Millers, which meant they were promoted from the division and the Gills were relegated.

Anyone who recognises the men in the images is urged to call the appeal line on 01634 792209 quoting reference 46/108028/22 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or complete the online form on its website.
