Car overturned on A289 near Wainscott

Drivers faced delays after a car overturned on a busy route.

The A289 at Wainscott was partially blocked due to the incident near the A228 Four Elms Hill roundabout.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Kent Police was called to the incident on the Chatham-bound carriageway of the Wainscott bypass at 8.55am.

The incident caused an obstruction in one of the lanes and officers enforced a single-lane closure.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended.

The route has been cleared.
