A woman in her 70s is in hospital after being hit by a car yesterday afternoon.

Police and paramedics were called to Hollywood Lane, Wainscott, just after midday to reports the women had been involved in a collision with a car.

She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police were called to Hollywood Lane in Wainscott, at 12:05pm, following a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and a woman pedestrian.

The woman, in her 70s, is being taken to hospital for treatment but her injuries are not life threatening."
