Police called after knife found hidden near Chatham train station

Police were called after a knife was found hidden near Chatham railway station this morning.

A photo of the knife was posted on Twitter by the British Transport Police, who said: "This has been seized by officers this afternoon after being located by staff outside #Chatham station hidden near the bus stops."

Kent Police confirmed they had been notified of the find just after 10am this morning, but they had no other involvement and were not aware of any knife related incidents in the area.
