Police called to Flaxmans Court, Brompton

Police cordoned off a street in Gillingham after finding an injured man.

They were called to Flaxmans Court at around 1.25pm and access to Brompton High Street was also blocked off.

Witnesses say armed police and at least three patrol cars and police van were spotted in the area.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.26pm on Wednesday 3 January to reports of an injured man at Flaxmans Court, Gillingham.

"Officers attended the scene and remain in the area making enquiries. A road cordon is currently in place.

"The injured man was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service locally."
