Passenger incident causes delays at Strood Railway Station

Services were delayed while police dealt with an incident on a train.

Rail company Southeastern tweeted to say passengers were causing a disturbance at 7.35am.

The train left the station in Canal Road just after 8am.

British Transport Police spokesman Daisy Collingwood said: "Officers were called to Strood station at 7.35am following reports of a disturbance between passengers on board a train.

"The train was briefly held while officers attended. No arrests were made and enquiries are ongoing.”
