Police in riot gear and firefighters called to Ten Acre Way, Rainham

Emergency crews were called to a street in Rainham last night following reports of a man making threats and damaging a car.

Several police vehicles, including vans, were seen parked up on Ten Acre Way and Burrstock Way, with officers dressed in riot gear.

Firefighters say they were called to the scene to assist Kent Police.

Kent Police said: “We were called to a report that a man was making threats and had damaged a car in Burrstock Way, Rainham at 7.05pm.

“Officers attended and the man was arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage. He remains in custody while enquiries continue.”
