Kent Police’s wish to return jewels seized in Gillingham to rightful owner

Police have seized a quantity of suspicious gold and precious jewellery after stopping and searching a van driver.

Officers from Kent Police Tactical Operations pulled over the motorist in Gillingham yesterday before discovering they did not hold a valid driving licence.

A subsequent search revealed the suspect was found to be in possession of Class A and B drugs, alongside the precious keepsakes.

Tweeting to its 10,000 followers today, the tactical unit released a series of images hoping to return the items to their rightful owner.

“(Our unit) stopped a van in Gillingham and the driver had no licence - (a) stop search located Class A & B drugs aswell as gold jewellery the driver could not account for.

“(The) team suspect the items to be stolen!
