Four charged after police find suspected cannabis factory in Canterbury Street, Gillingham

Four men have been charged with producing cannabis after police uncovered a suspected cannabis factory in Gillingham.

Officers found 200 suspected cannabis plants in a property in Canterbury Street on Friday, April 15, as well as a quantity of what is thought to be dried cannabis.

Mantas Semenavicius, 23 and of no fixed address, Ricardas Meksunas, 40, of Canterbury Street, Linas Stansys, 22, of no fixed address, Zilinskas Raimondas, 46, of no fixed address, have been charged with production of a controlled class B drug.

They appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday and were all remanded in custody.

They are next due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, May 16.
