A video posted on TikTok, which is thought to be related to the incident, showed a heated interaction between a woman and three girls.

Both were filming one another at the time and the woman can be heard saying: “I thought you said I was black trash. Keep talking.”

A member of staff eventually intervened, separating the two parties. Around two million people have watched the video and more than 5,000 have commented.

Officers say the incident happened inside the branch at around 2pm last Friday (December 29).

It is alleged a woman was racially abused and assaulted by three teenage girls while she was waiting in a queue.
