The brother and sister of a man accused of attempted murder have been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Police revealed earlier this month they had charged Adam Green, 25, in connection with a shooting incident in Gillingham last year.

Green, 25, of Hards Town, Chatham, faces two counts of attempted murder after an incident in Railway Street, Gillingham, in April 2012. He is in custody and due to appear in court.

The alleged offences relate to an incident which was reported to have happened at an industrial plot. Two men, a 27-year-old and a 34-year-old, received serious injuries.

Steven Green, 28, of Tangmere Close, Gillingham, and Melissa Green, 22, of Farnborough Avenue, South Croydon, have now been charged with perverting the course of justice.

All three are due before Medway magistrates on Monday, August 12.
