Six arrested and four taken to hospital after brawl in Rochester

Six people were arrested and four were taken to hospital after a brawl in Rochester.

Police were called to reports of a group of people involved in a fight in Anchor Road at around 7.30pm yesterday.

Officers arrested six people, four men and two women, who were taken into custody.

The four men had suffered facial injuries, with one sustaining an injury to his head, and were taken to hospital.

Investigators are carrying out house-to-house inquiries and reviewing CCTV to determine the circumstances.

Detective Inspector Pete Smith said: "We believe there are a number of witnesses who are yet to speak with police and we would ask they get in contact at the earliest opportunity.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who has privately held footage of the incident, including dashcam or mobile phone recordings."
