A busy road has been closed after a crash involving three cars.

The Esplanade in Rochester is blocked following the accident at about 1.15pm.

The road has been closed between The Crown pub and Short's Reach.

It is thought there were two cars involved in the smash and a third car which was parked was also damaged.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were on the scene. There were no reported injuries.

Firefighters were dealing with an oil spill.

Police closed the road and were turning cars around.
