Police have been at the scene of a suspected cannabis factory throughout today after arriving at the property at around 2am.
Forensics officers have been seen seen pulling tubes, large clear bags and fans out of the house in Windmill Street, Strood.
Residents says they were woken by loud banging sounds and men running down the street.
One woman said: "There were not any sirens but I heard something was going on and then saw a man running away.
"It is absolutely a shock to find out it was happening along the road.
"It is amazing how much stuff they have got from inside."
Another resident, who lives in nearby Quixote Street, said a man jumped over their fence and into their back garden – breaking three fence panels.
She said: "My dog literally went ballistic. I assumed it was just foxes but I knew something was not right.
"I heard lots of banging and then I was looking out my window and saw someone jump the fence. It is quite surprising."
Another neighbour who slept through the bust said: "I only knew about it when I saw the police this morning. It is unexpected, it is usually quiet. It is lovely around here."
Police have been contacted for comment.
