Chatham robbery suspect charged after taxi driver allegedly has money stolen

A man has been charged with robbing a taxi driver after money was reported to have been stolen.

Lee Miller is accused of taking the cash after being driven to several locations in Chatham during an alleged robbery in Bryant Street.

It is said the incident happened at about 10.30pm on Monday, June 29.

Miller was also charged with attempting to rob a woman who was sitting in a vehicle parked in the High Street earlier in the same evening.

The 41-year-old of Chelmar Road, Chatham, appeared before magistrates last week and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on July 29.
