Teen taken to hospital after moped crash in North Dane Way, Chatham

A teenager was taken to hospital following a moped crash.

Police have issued an appeal following the incident which took place at the junction between North Dane Way and Lordswood Lane, Chatham, at 5.30pm on Sunday, November 24.

The boy was taken to a Kings College Hospital with serious injuries, including a leg injury, after the crash between Vauxhall Vectra and a blue Sinnis moped.

One person who was trapped had to be rescued by fire crews who used hydraulic equipment.

Two fire engines and paramedics were joined by the air ambulance service who attended in a land vehicle.

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in contact.

They are also appealing for anyone travelling in the area to provide dash cam footage that may show either vehicle travelling in the moments leading up to the incident.
