Teenagers arrested on suspicion of possessing knives and drugs after fight in Gillingham

Two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of possessing knives, Class A drugs and criminal property after a fight in a flat in Gillingham.

At least five police patrol cars were called just before 1pm yesterday to reports of a disturbance in Tizard Place, Jeffery Street.

One 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed weapon and affray, and another 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed weapon, suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and suspicion of acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

Both were charged with the offences and have been remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
