Police called to Tobruk Way, Wayfield to search for a vulnerable man who has now been found

The police helicopter was up over the Luton area of Chatham trying to find a vulnerable man earlier this afternoon

Officers were called out by paramedics to an address in Tobruk Way, Wayfield, in the town shortly after 12.30pm following reports of concern for the man's welfare.

It is understood the man in his 40s left the address at some point later in the afternoon.

Officers in patrol cars were also sent to the area to try and help find him.

A spokesman for police said the helicopter was called to help officers on the ground with the search, but a tweet from the crew a short time ago said the man had now been located with the help of a member of the public.
