Three people were rescued from the water off the Hoo Peninsula on Saturday evening after their jet ski broke down.

The trio were spotted in the water near to Allhallows Holiday Park just before 5.30pm - it's thought they had run out of fuel.

Sheerness Lifeboat were called to the pick them up and they were taken to the Camber in Sheerness Docks where they were given safety advice by Sheerness coastguard.

They were then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital suffering mild hypothermia.

The coastguard is urging anyone going out on the water to ensure they have enough fuel for their trip.

They should also have oars to enable them to row back to shore if needed and a working radio so they are able to call for help.
