Three in hospital after collision on Gillingham Road, Gillingham, between motorbike and pedestrian

A teenage girl was one of three people taken to hospital last night after a motorbike collided with pedestrians.

The accident took place near the railway crossing on Gillingham Road, Gillingham, just after 6.30pm.

The girl, who is thought to be 14, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with hip pain.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital as a priority with a possible fractured arm and neck pain.

A woman in her 30s was also taken to A&E with facial injuries.

Secamb sent three ambulances and two cars to the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: "Kent Police was called to a reported collision between a motorbike and a pedestrian in Gillingham Road, Gillingham, at 6.34pm on Wednesday 16 December.

"Secamb has also attended and three people have been taken to hospital."

Officers remained at the scene until 11.50pm.
