Top Gun star Tom Cruise back in Kent and filming at Historic Dockyard Chatham

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has returned to Kent for a second time in as many days.

The Top Gun star was spotted arriving in a private helicopter near a filming site in Chatham this evening.

It is believed the Top Gun star has flown into the county to film his latest movie.

Video shows the chopper flying over the Rochester stretch of River Medway, and descending into the Medway Council building.

Several people ran out of their offices to get a closer look as the chopper came into land and a few and stood on the other side of the River Medway yelling "Tom, we love you."

The actor was seen to turn and wave.

Yesterday, he also arrived in Chatham by helicopter around 4.30pm before being taken to the nearby Historic Dockyard, where a film crew has taken over the area.

The private helicopter was seen over the river next to the Medway City Estate in Strood before it landed in front of the council's Gun Wharf headquarters. It travelled from a heliport in central London.

Details on what the movie is and whether it is connected to filming at Sheppey's Kingsferry Bridge have not been forthcoming.

Visitors to the Dockyard at the weekend noticed a giant lighting rig being put in place.
