Camper vans have pitched up near a busy shopping destination.

Around 10 caravans have parked up in a privately owned car park outside of Lloyds of London close to Chatham’s Dockside Outlet Centre.

It is understood these vehicles are owned by a group of nomadic Travellers who are believed to have been on-site since at least Sunday, April 7.

One resident told KentOnline there was “rubbish everywhere” and “kids were trashing big wheelie bins”.

The car park is privately owned and a spokesman for the Dockside Outlet Centre confirmed it has no control or legal responsibility over it.

Medway Council have been approached for comment while Lloyds of London declined to make a statement.
