The 31-year-old faces charges of GBH with intent, criminal damage, assault of an emergency worker and possession of cocaine.

Prosecutor James Nichols outlined the case, stating there had been an altercation earlier in the evening and vehicles had been damaged.

When the alleged victim began remonstrating, the defendant was said to have thrown him over a wall, head first.

He was left with a bleed on the brain and remained in hospital at the time of the hearing.

Mr Nichols said a phone was left at the scene, which was later recovered by police.

The defendant is also accused of becoming aggressive towards police officers and “deliberately blowing snot at an officer”.

The incident was described as one of “extreme violence while under the influence of Class A drugs”.

No plea was entered and the case was adjourned and sent to Maidstone Crown Court, where Gray is due to appear on December 5.

He was remanded in custody.
